What is the sedona release technique and how does it help you achieve your goals?

The Sedona Method, as originated by Lester Levinson, aims to help you remove the hold that your false limitations have on you. The idea is that if you can let go of your false limiting feelings you will gain more energy and also more "I can do it" thoughts and habits.

If you think about it you always have a motive for anything you do. If you dig deep enough there is always a reason, even if you're not consciously aware of it - maybe because you're following old ingrained patterns of behaviour. These motives are in our heads. They are just a collection of our feelings and ideas.

The sedona release technique is based on the belief that your habits are locked in by your motives. This is particularly helpful for breaking unproductive habits - like stopping smoking or checking your emails every five minutes. If you can change your feelings, then you can change your motives and establish new and more productive behaviour habits. Naturally, the habits you want are the ones that will help you achieve your goals.

Nine different feelings are described in the sedona release technique audio tapes, ranging from apathy (the most "I can't") to peace (the most "I can"). As your feelings move towards the "I can" end of the spectrum, so your energy increases and you should find it easier to achieve your goals.

So the sedona release technique is very much looking at goal achievement from the inside out. If you change your internal state then you can let go of false limitations that are preventing you reaching your goal.
