Why is it called Sedona? I think the only reason is that Lester Levinson, who created the techniques or at least recreated them in this particular format, lived for a while in Sedona USA. He'd been given two weeks to live by his doctors, but in fact extended this to about 40 more years after using the Sedona techniques. Lester Levinson's Sedona work has now been taken on by Hale Dwoskin. Before we go any further I want to emphasise that Sedona does not teach you any particular belief system or philosophy or psychology. It simply offers you a very simple process to remove your attachment to particular feelings that may be holding you back. As far as I can make out (from experience), you don't even have to 'believe' in this process. You just have to do it - sit or lie down, play the tape and answer the questions it asks. Please don't drive while listening! Hale Dwoskin's voice and the exercises are way too relaxing. You may wonder why answering a few questions on a relaxation tape will do anything for you. In fact I don't understand why The Sedona method is so powerful, but you can sample it yourself by sending for a free tape from the Sedona web site. While you're there have a quick look at some of the extremely impressive testimonials. You can also see my Sedona release technique page for further details. In case you're interested in purchasing a copy of the full Sedona Method audio program, let me take you through what you'll receive. Bear in mind I bought mine 10 years ago, but it looks pretty much the same now. (By the way you can go to a seminar rather than buying tapes or CDs if you prefer). Sat here on my desk I have ten audio cassettes packaged into two handy cassette files. I also have a workbook split into 20 sections, each section relating to one side of a tape. Then I have three bonus tapes: 'financial freedom' 'relationships' and 'appearance health & well being', each in their own little case. The whole program is focused on letting go whatever is holding you back from your goals. When I say letting go I mean almost like when you go half asleep and let all your cares float away. The Sedona Method program is also very practical. For example, section 7 focuses on identifying goals and writing a goal statement. Section 8 shows how to use Sedona to eliminate your inner obstacles to achieve your goals. Section 9 deals with resistance to the tasks needed to reach your goals. In my view it's a very helpful audio program for goals. It's also great for simply releasing stress after a hard day.
