The Power Of Focus

Review of Gary Ryan Blair's Audio Ebook

Welcome to the Power of Focus page. This web site is about setting and achieving personal goals. To see more goals articles please go to our achieve your personal goals or setting goals pages.

Gary Ryan Blair's 'The Power Of Focus' is entirely concerned with helping you achieve your goals.

I've summarised some of the key points in this review.

The sound quality is good and the material is well structured.

Gary Ryan Blair is a quick talker and he doesn't waffle. So you'll benefit from hearing this audio several times.

In my view, focus is a key time management skill for anyone who wants to achieve their goals. You need to keep your goals in the forefront of your mind and, on a practical level, you need to spend time taking action to move towards your goals. This ebook presents the key points very clearly.

THE POWER OF FOCUS - key points

FOCUS stands for Follow One Course Until Successful. We won't achieve goals by jumping from one goal to the next, or simply by goal setting. Nothing will happen unless we are consistent in doing what it takes until the goal is reached.

Everything Counts is the overriding theme of all Gary Ryan Blair's books and audios. Everything you think say or do takes you nearer to or further from your goals.

It's possible to have a historical focus, a present focus or a future focus. Gary suggests that most people are stuck in the present focus - the 'quick fix'. We need a future focus for goals setting. Then we can focus on our present activities in the context of our longer-term vision.

It's not enough to have a vision of where we need to get to. We have to take action to get there. It's this combination of vision and action that is needed.

Focus is an unconventional concept according to Gary Ryan Blair. We have so many options and choices nowadays that it's easy to get distracted. Focus is unconventional in that you have to limit your choices.

Once you've chosen your goals, how do you improve your focus? It's about the 3 R's: repetition, reinforcement and renewal. We need to remind ourselves of our goals daily like a heart beat, by reading saying or writing them. We need to reinforce them by taking action to make progress. We need to renew by checking that our reasons for pursuing the goals still hold.

There's much more detail on this Power of Focus audio ebook. It's a great tool for anyone who wants to achieve their goals.

Why Self Image is Vital to Success

If you're not aware why and how your subconscious beliefs can help or hinder your chances of achieving your personal goals, have a look at the teachings of Dr Maxwell Maltz on the importance of your self image.
