This audio program contains the essence of all that Tracy has learned in the areas of success, achievement and goal attainment. Barring a few words, his book 'Goals: How To Get Everything You Want - Faster Than You Ever Thought Possible', is a duplicate of the audio program but in written form. The program contains 21 strategies for assessing what you want from life, to setting your goals then monitoring progress and overcoming obstacles. In my view, there's nothing here that's contradictory to my other top recommendations for goals books or audios. It's more a question of style and emphasis. For example, Brian Tracy covers points such as visualizing goals, spending time on the most important tasks using the 80/20 principle, and building your skills and knowledge. He also agrees that we have an automatic goal-seeking function within us, like homing pigeons. Right at the start, he says that if he had to summarise his best advice in about 30 seconds it would be, "write down your goals, make plans to acheive them, and work on your plans every single day". In fact there are three points which are particularly emphasised in this Program compared to others I have reviewed. First, there is an emphasis on clarity, which Tracy describes as his favourite word in goal setting and success in general. He says that there is direct relationship between our level of success and our clarity about who we are and what we want. Second, the technique that Brain Tracy says 'changed his life' was to write down his top ten goals every day - without reading from his previous lists. Third, he spends quite some time discussing the goals we choose and the power of our minds. He says that you become what you think about most of the time. There's no doubt that this is a very thorough program that includes very useful advice for anyone interested in goal setting and achievement.
